IDP Association Management Company… Your Association’s Helping Hand! IDP Association Management Company, located in Cherry Hill, NJ (a short distance from Philadelphia, PA) is a division of Innovative Designs & Publishing, Inc., headquartered in Palmer, PA. The IDP Association Management division was established in September 2001 following the acquisition of Howell Management Company, Inc. by Innovative Designs & Publishing, which was managing one professional society at the time, and desired to expand by establishing a separate Association Management division. Howell Management Company, a well-established professional association management firm, had been providing professional association management services since 1991, and at the time of IDP’s purchase was serving two trade association clients. With the addition of the Fluid Power Society, the client base was broadened to include the professional society. All key staff members from Howell Management Co. were retained in the purchase of the company; of our current account executives, the average tenure is over 10 years. Currently, IDP Association Management is comprised of seven full-time employees and two part-time employees; we also employ part-time temporary help when required either by large-scale projects or seasonal schedules, to appropriately service our clients. The parent company, Innovative Designs & Publishing, Inc., provides publishing and print/web design services to several consumer publications and one professional industry journal, as well as advertising sales and support, graphic design, and website development services. This sets us apart, allowing us to offer professional association management services along with professional publication and website development, design, and management for our clients. Dedicated Hands Our first responsibility as a professional association management team is to understand the mission and purpose of your industry and of your members, and then to provide the cohesion, continuity, and coordination necessary to carry out the projects and tasks supporting your mission. We understand your role as leaders and strategic visionaries for your industry--and our role, as the hands that carry out your vision. We understand that associations’ volunteer leadership cannot--and should not--take the time necessary to administer the logistics of operating the association; rather, it should rely on an experienced association management team to carry out day-to-day responsibilities and tasks, allowing it to focus instead on the future development of the association and the industry. |
